Cooper houdt van knuffelen, ongelooflijk aanhankelijk en liefdevol. Een tam beertje eigenlijk, tactiel afhankelijk, geniet van contact met mensen. Meerdere keren nam hij deel aan liefdadigheidstentoonstellingen voor plaatsing van asiel hondjes en gedroeg hij zichzelf goed. Hij past zich goed aan de samenleving, is graag en ontspannen in de stad, rijd graag in een auto.
Hij zal een loyale en toegewijde vriend voor het leven zijn, maar ze moeten voortdurend verschillende activiteiten ondernemen zoals wandelen bijvoorbeeld, naar en honden weide gaan of strand, zodat de hond zich niet verveelt en zich samen met de eigenaar ontwikkelt.
